Hey Momma, I know you’re busy feeding everyone else but you need to eat too! I often find myself feeding my kids and then forgetting to feed myself. That’s why I’ve curated 10 quick snacks to make just for you. You need energy in order to give your best to those around you. 🙂

So, here’s my best snack ideas to keep you fueled and slaying your days!
1. MEAT & CHEESE
When you’re busy, it’s important to eat high energy snacks. Try rolling up a piece of sandwich meat with organic cheese for a high energy snack.
You can also add in a pickle and some mustard if you want to get fancy! Think a tiny sandwich but leave the bread behind.
2. POPCORN
I love popcorn! Popcorn is a super easy and nutritious snack that is perfect for moms and kids to share. Popcorn is high in fiber and loaded with healthy antioxidants!
But before you run to your microwave, I’m NOT talking about microwave popcorn. I’m talking about good old fashioned popcorn on the stove. All you need is popcorn kernels, coconut oil, and a large pot with a lid or a Whirley Pop and you’ll be snacking like you’re at the movies!
3. HARD BOILED EGG
We’re blessed to have 12 chickens right in our backyard so we have fresh eggs every day. Sometimes we get so overloaded, I just HAVE to make hard-boiled eggs and every time I do, I remember what a perfect snack they make!
Eggs are one of the most nutritious foods and will give you a great energy boost. If you don’t have chickens in your backyard, be sure to buy organic eggs.
4. PROTEIN BARS
Protein bars are convenient and full of energy. Make sure you buy high quality, organic bars that aren’t full of junk. Some of my favorites are GoMacro Organic Protein Bars.
You can also make your own using a recipe like this one. Either way, they’re super easy to grab and snack!
5. VEGGIES & HUMMUS
I know snacking on veggies doesn’t seem like the easiest or most appealing snack choice but your health and energy level will thank you for making a great choice! Chop your veggies ahead of time so you won’t need to worry about it when you get hungry.
You can buy pre-made organic hummus or make it using a food processor. It’s actually very easy to make. Then dip and enjoy!
6. BANANA WITH NUT BUTTER
As far as quick snacks to make go, bananas are one of the best! Grab a banana, a butter knife, and some nut butter and you have a delicious and easy snack. That is if your kids haven’t eaten all the bananas already! 😉
Any nut butter will work but it’s best to get one that has only nuts without any added oils or sugar.
7. TRAIL MIX
We’ve been eating trail mix every day lately. My kids and I all love it! You can buy it or mix your own so you can avoid any added sugar.
We mix raw almonds, cashews, and raisins for ours. If you’re feeling like a little splurge, add some dark chocolate chips!
8. YOGURT WITH FROZEN FRUIT
I love mixing plain yogurt with honey, frozen fruit, and nut butter for some extra protein. This is a great snack or even breakfast!
I buy plain yogurt because it doesn’t have any added sugar and frozen, organic fruit so if we don’t use it all right way, it won’t go bad.
9. PROTEIN SHAKE
Protein shakes are one of my favorite quick snacks to make. I drink a protein shake either in the morning or in the evening. It’s a great way to fill up in the evening so you won’t want to snack late into the night. Drink it several hours before going to bed.
I use Orgain protein and almond milk because I have sensitively to milk but organic whole milk is a great option as well. You’ll also need a simple shaker bottle which you can get for under $10. This snack is quick and easy but packs a big punch!
10. CHOCOLATE
I saved the best for last – chocolate! I LOVE chocolate and if you choose the right kind it’s really good for you and packed with antioxidants. A good rule of thumb is to look for organic dark chocolate with a high cacao content and very little sugar.
I did some research and found some organic chocolate options that have little to no sugar. You can also make your own chocolate by mixing coconut oil, cocoa, and honey or coconut sugar together and refrigerating it! So yummy!
