I LOVE making dates with my husband into active dates because it gives us a chance to spend time together and get in a good workout.

1. GO FOR A RUN
Whether you live in the city or the country, going for a run with your spouse is the perfect date idea. All you need are running shoes and the open road!
2. GO FOR A WALK ON A FITNESS TRAIL
Have you ever seen a fitness walking trail? They’re lined with workout stations so you can walk and workout! Perfect when you want an added challenge to normal walking.
3. GO MOUNTAIN BIKING
My husband and I went mountain biking recently and it was SO fun! We borrowed bikes from my parents and hit a trail close to home.
4. GO TO A GYM CLASS
If you’re already part of a gym, a gym class is the perfect no-fuss active date. Just follow the lead of the teacher and enjoy it!
5. GO ROCK CLIMBING

6. GO ROLLER SKATING OR ICE SKATING
Roller skating and ice skating are the perfect activities for couples and also great workouts! You’ll be feeling the burn after a few laps!

My husband and I love lifting weights. We have a set at our house but you could also go to a gym. Plan a workout that you’ll both enjoy and encourage each other when it gets tough!
9. GO CANOEING OR KAYAKING
Being on the water is so peaceful and makes for a beautiful date in nature. It’s also a great workout because of all the rowing!
