Instagram is huge right now, even more so with everyone being home during the quarantine. It’s safe to say if you’re trying to grow your business or personal brand, you NEED to be on Instagram stories. It’s not always easy to think about what to post though. 1. Lead With a Selfie
Even if you aren’t the most comfortable in front of the camera, you should still start your stories every day with a selfie, photo, or video of yourself. The reason is so people know whose story they are watching. This will allow them to connect with you instantly and be more likely to watch the rest of your story slides.
2. Share About Your Day
People love to see what other people are doing to get inspiration or entertainment for their own life. Share a new recipe you’re trying, a new outfit, or just anything you’re doing in your day!
3. Give a Tip
People love tips. Maybe there’s something you recently discovered that works great for your or a unique skill you have. Share it in your stories!
4. Ask a Question
I love that Instagram has so many interactive features available in Instagram stories. A fun Instagram story idea is to ask a question to your audience using the ask a question button! This is a great interactive Instagram story idea!
5. Share a Photo Collage
Sharing a photo collage is a fun way to share more than one photo per slide. It’s kind of like showing your audience a photo album from a recent event you attended or project you’re working on! You can make a collage using a canvas template.

People love to be inspired! Find an amazing quote and share it on your Instagram stories!
7. Share Your Most Recent Post
A super-easy way to connect with your audience is to share your most recent post to your stories. All you have to do is tap the little airplane at the bottom of your post and send it to your stories. Then add in some text and gifs to personalize it!

Have you ever been scrolling through your Instagram feed and come across a post that really resonates with you? Every time that happens to me, I share it with my stories so other people can see it. You can send it the same way as you sent your own post. Add some text to explain why you love the post!
9. Reshare Stories You’re Tagged in
When someone tags you in their own Instagram story, Instagram will send you a notification and an option to share to your stories. This is a great way to interact with other people and have content to share!
10. Share an Reel
Have you tried Instagram Reels? Even if you don’t have any videos of your own, you can share someone else’s video to your stories. There are share buttons that make it super easy to share!
11. Promote a Recent Blog Post or Project
Did you just hit publish on a new blog post or are you working on a special project? Share about it in your stories using an eye-catching Instagram story template!

People love watching live videos. During this time of quarantine, I’ve noticed a huge spike in Instagram live videos. In particular, I’ve been watching a ton of live workout videos. You can go live with your audience and share anything you’d like! Another awesome interactive Instagram story idea!

Polls are an awesome way to get engagement in your stories. Whether its a poll to gather information or just for fun, people can’t resist a good poll!

Have you noticed people sharing their tweets or other people’s tweets in their stories? I think this is a creative and fun way to share quotes but with a different spin!

Who doesn’t love a good before and after?! Whether its for weight loss or home renovation or anything in between is sure to be a hit!
