How to lose belly fat fast? You may think the answer has everything to do with exercise. Exercise will definitely help you get rid of belly fat but you also need to change the way you eat and what you eat.
In the past seven years, I’ve had four babies and I’ve had to lose belly fat after each of my pregnancies.
I’ve always loved working out and eating healthy but I’ve had to focus more on each step in order to lose the belly fat faster.
Along with exercise, I realized I needed to shape up my diet and focus more on hydration in order to lose weight.
Disclaimer: This article is for informational purposes only. I am not a doctor. All opinions are my own. Please consult with your doctor before starting a new diet or exercise routine, and/or if you are struggling with eating disorders.
Here are the main things I did in order to lose belly fat fast:
1. Cut Out Wheat
The main cause of belly fat in most people is wheat. Have you ever heard of the term wheat belly?
American wheat has much more genetic tinkering and pesticide exposure than in other countries.
For this reason, it can lead to all kinds of health issues including weight gain.
You would be surprised to find out that if you just stopped eating wheat, you would probably start to lose belly fat.
Combining it with the rest of the recommendations will help you to lose belly fat even faster.
2. Cut Out Sugar
Sugar may seem like the most obvious option to take out of your diet.
Everyone knows sugar is unhealthy but what you might not realize is that sugar turns into fat when it’s processed in your body.
That means it’s a huge contributing factor to belly fat.
When you remove sugar from your diet, you will be able to lose belly fat faster. Make sure you remove all refined sugar.
Refined sugar can be found in many products such as dressings, ketchup, cereals, etc so make sure you read the labels.
3. Drink Water
Staying hydrated has a great effect on your overall health.
It helps you stay full longer, removes waste from your body, and helps you burn calories, and lose weight faster.
I add hydration tablets to my water to make it more hydrating and more enjoyable to drink. This has been a game changer for me!
4. Reduce the Amount of Grains You Eat
Right along the lines with wheat are all other grains. If you are trying to lose belly fat you should reduce the number of grains you eat.
Grains include cereals, oatmeal, rice, etc.
Try to fill up on high-quality animal products and a lot of fresh produce instead of filling up on grains.
Grains should be an additional side to the rest of your meal.
5. Move Your Body Every Day
It may seem obvious that you need to work out in order to lose belly fat but working out doesn’t have to be complicated.
As long as you are moving your body every day and sweating you are giving your body what it needs and burning calories.
You should always try to do a workout that you enjoy and makes you feel good that way you will be able to stay consistent.
Consistency is the best way to lose belly fat faster while working out.
6. Spend Time Tanning
Tanning can help you lose weight because exposure to UV light can increase your metabolism and stimulate your thyroid gland which in turn encourages weight loss.
Studies show that “exposure to ultraviolet light induced an increase in the activity of the thyroid gland”.
The thyroid gland is the body’s natural way of controlling your metabolism. Having a fast and vibrant metabolism helps you with fat loss. So you guessed it, tanning can help boost metabolism and weight loss!
These are the same tips I used to lose weight after each of my babies were born and they worked for me.
Always remember that your health is the most important thing.
Trying to lose belly fat should be done only while also staying hydrated and listening to your body and giving it what it needs. How you feel is more important than any number on a scale!
